Scott Cousineau
Senior Minister
Reverend Scott W. Cousineau was
ordained in 1997, but in many ways his ministry began when he was in
high school. As a youth, Scott was very active in his church youth group
and also helped teach the Kindergarten Sunday school class. During his
young adult years, Scott served as a youth group leader, Deacon and
member of the Property Committee. He also worked as a church custodian
while he attended seminary.
Since
his ordination, Scott has served churches in Shaker Heights, Ohio, New
London, New Hampshire, and Worcester, Massachusetts. Most recently, he
served as the Senior Pastor for the Federated Church of Norfolk in
Norfolk, Massachusetts.
Scott’s
wife, Reverend Renee Kaufman, is also an ordained minister. They met
through a mutual friend and colleague. Scott and Renee were married at
the First Baptist Church in Beverly, Massachusetts, the church where
Scott was both baptized and ordained.
In
addition to serving churches, Scott and Renee volunteer as foster
“parents” for an animal rescue based in Memphis, Tennessee. They have
fostered over eighty dogs helping them find their forever homes.
