The Community Gathers
Meditation   “I am thankful that there are those among us who have sacrificed dearly on behalf of us. And I ardently pray to God that I might be less like myself and more like them.”

Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship
Leader: Again we gather. Again we sing. Again we read, and hear and pray.
People: We do these things again and again because we believe God is in them. Leader: We believe God desires our worship. We believe God wants to speak to us. People: So, as we come together again, let us do so with great expectation. Let us
lay aside what we think we know and open ourselves up to the
Leader: Let us worship again the God who loves us, who redeemed us, who will one
day return to us.
ALL: Again we gather. Again we worship. Let us sing to God!
*Opening Hymn        “Holy, Holy Holy! Lord God Almighty”            #10
Prayer of Invocation and Lords’s Prayer (unison)
Holy and Almighty God, Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, Son, and Holy Spirit;
God beyond us, God with us, God ever among us; You are one God in three persons, ever entwined in a dance of grace. Get us up on our feet today, that we may join the dance, and give you glory, in word, in deed, and in song. We ask all of this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, and we offer the words that he taught us to use when we pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and
forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory
forever.  Amen.

Our altar flowers this morning are given by Lisa and Jon Edstrom
In memory of Jonathan Edstrom.

The prayer shawls in the sanctuary are here to be shared. They have been blessed
in their making and in our worship. If you know someone that is in need of comfort and prayer, please share a shawl with them.

Our sanctuary is equipped with a bi-polar ionization system which cleans germs and bacteria from the air as it circulates. If you are a little chilly because of the breeze blowing on you,
please know that it is warmer up in the balcony.
