Meditation         “I forgot how good it feels to be rooted. And to be rooted is not
the same thing at all as being tied down. To be rooted is to say, here I am
nourished and here will I grow, for I have found a place where every sunrise
shows me how to be more than what I was yesterday, and I need not wander to
feel the wonder of my blessing.”   ~ Kevin Hearne, Shattered

Prelude                                           “Be Thou My Vision”                                       Mark Hayes

Call to Worship
In the Presence of God … toes tap to some heavenly chorus, tears emerge from a hidden ache, silence descends like a gentle mist, joy ascends like a rocket in the sky.
God is with us wherever we are … glad hearts are refreshed, sorrowing hearts find comfort, broken hearts discover healing, searching hearts find home. In the presence of God, we are made whole and sing our joyful songs of praise.
Opening Hymn                   “When Morning Gilds the Skies”   (vs. 1, 2 & 4)                    #111

Prayer of Invocation
God of Light and Truth, we long for the peace that only you can provide. We seem so
often to be tossed to and fro, blown about by every wind except that of your own
Holy Spirit. Dwell with us as we worship and offer our praise and thanksgiving.
Linger long, and speak the truth to us in love, that we may enter into deeper           relationship with you and with one another. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Lord’s Prayer (Sung)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be   done on earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.  Amen.
