Scott's Weekly Greeting...

It's the most wonderful time of the year

With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful time of the year ...

I am sure that you are familiar with this popular Christmas song. You may have even heard it already playing on the radio or accompanying a television commercial. We could easily rewrite that song ...
It's the most frustrating time of the year
While you're Thanksgiving shopping
With everyone filling their holiday stockings
It's the most overlapped time of the year ...

Okay ... it is not that bad. But, we do jump quickly from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas, and in some cases, we barely pause for Thanksgiving. Of course, we also know that once Thanksgiving is over, we find ourselves trying to hang onto a runaway train as we prepare for all of our Christmas activities.

So ... let us pause this year.

Let me add something to your overcrowded calendars. Pause for a moment and join us for an intentional break. Join us for an Advent Bible Study in which we will focus our hearts upon the Christmas Story. Ponder with Mary, stand with Joseph, gather with shepherds, journey with magi and hear again the songs of the angels.

We will gather for three Wednesday evenings, December 4, 11 and 18, at 6:30 PM. All are welcome. No previous Bible Study experience is necessary.
