Scott's Weekly Greeting...

Author: Rev. Scott Cousineau
December 31, 2019

We sit at the threshold of a new year. Many people will go out and celebrate tonight. They will gather together with friends and family to commemorate the occasion. Loved ones are kissed at midnight and resolutions are made ... commitments to make this next year better, healthier, happier.
We ring in the New Year with a day off from work, televised parades, and college football games. It is a national holiday. Happy New Year! Woohoo!!
The reality is that tomorrow is not any different than today ... except for the day off and the parades. (Although, on Sunday the children told me that every day is 'Pastor Scott Day' ... so I am looking forward to more parades in my honor.) Every day is an opportunity for a new beginning. Every day presents itself as a day filled with possibilities. Every day can be better, healthier, happier.
Let us resolve to make it so.
Let us resolve to carry the joy of Christmas forward.
Let us resolve to share the love that we found in the manger.
Let us resolve to create peace in every circumstance.
Let us resolve to lift up those who have lost hope so that they will know that the God has not abandoned them.
Have a happy and healthy New Year!
Peace!
