Scott's Weekly Greeting ...

My heart is still experiencing the wonderful warm glow from this past weekend. Saturday was the Women's Fellowship's annual Gingerbread Fair. The church was full of people and Christmas cheer. Every nook and cranny of the church contained delicious food ... baked goodies, candy, and the luncheon, crafts ... ornaments, wreaths, knit goods and greenery, boutique and yard sale items. The children even had their own special area in Santa's Workshop. The church was so crowded that you could barely move at times ... and that is a good thing! It was a fabulous day of fellowship for the church family as we welcomed our neighbors! THANK YOU to the Women's Fellowship and to all of the helper "elves" that made the day such a tremendous success!!

The following day, the noisy cheer of the fair was replaced by God's holy peace as we gathered for worship. The Bell Choir played at both the 8:00 AM and the 10:00 AM services, as well as a special treat in the Atrium between the services! The Senior Choir and Bell Choir performed Peace, Peace together during the 10:00 AM service and it was gorgeous! THANK YOU to all of our ringers and singers for blessing us with the gift of music!

As we continue our journey through Advent, we draw ever closer to Bethlehem. Perhaps you can feel the excitement building. Perhaps you are feeling the same sense of anticipation that fills the hearts of children on Christmas morning. This week we will make our way to that ancient village as the Sunday school children and youth present our Christmas pageant at the 10:00 AM service. We will light the Candle of Joy on the Advent wreath and we will all be filled with that same spirit!!

The gift of love is a gift given to all people. Please join us as we celebrate God's wonderful gift to the world! All are welcome!
